CCC offers specialized group counseling designed to reduce incidents of domestic violence by helping people recognize, understand, and cope with stressful situations.
CCC is the largest provider of batterer intervention services in central Virginia. The Batterer Intervention Program (BIP) is designed to break the cycle of domestic violence where it begins by changing the behavior of perpetrators of violence. The 24-week program is provided in a group setting to individuals court-ordered to participate.
CCC offers an 12-week Anger Management course where students learn and practice anger management skills. These techniques promote positive communication and conflict resolution, and lead to improved relationships within families and the community.
CCC hosts 8 and 12-week support groups to assist youth and women recovering from trauma. Groups help participants to heal from abuse and neglect, improve self-esteem, let go of guilt and anger, and build healthy relationships.
