The Counseling Center at Commonwealth Catholic Charities provides professional counseling services to individuals, children and families who are experiencing emotional difficulties.

Examples of Counseling Issues are:

  • Anxiety
  • Children/ Adolescent Behavior Problems
  • Depression
  • Marriage Conflicts
  • Panic Attacks
  • Phobias
  • Adjustment Problems
  • Past Abuse Issues
  • Parent-Child conflicts
  • Individual/family counseling is offered in Richmond, Charlottesville, Roanoke and Norton.

The Center offers specialized ongoing groups on issues related to domestic violence, anger management and parenting skill enhancement.

Domestic violence groups are offered in Richmond, Henrico, Chesterfield, Ashland, Charlottesville, Orange and Louisa. Groups are available for men and women.

Anger management and parenting groups are offered in Richmond.

For those without insurance, we offer a subsidy fee scale, which is possible due to United Way funding support. This allows the most vulnerable to attain services at a price they can afford.
