The
Community Center for the Deaf
and Hard of Hearing (CCDHH) offers
a variety of human services including
information and referral, advocacy,
equipment demonstration, public
education and facilitation of
communication.
CCDHH
staff assist in resolving
life issues caused by communication
difficulties of deafness or
hearing loss. Since most business
and service staff have minimal
knowledge of American Sign
Language or devices used by
the deaf and hard of hearing, resolution
of complex issues may be very
difficult. Examples are mediating
landlord/tenant disputes,
clarifying situations with
employment and resolving problems
with creditors.
Public
Education
CCDHH advocates public awareness
of deafness in the community.
Please call CCDHH to provide:

to civic organizations
- Educational sessions

persons who are Deaf or
hard of hearing

schools to let children
who are Deaf and their
hearing parents know about
resources available
