Support Groups

Youth Support Group

This support group is designed for immigrant and refugee youth or youth of immigrant and refugee parents. The group offers emotional help and support in an interactive counseling session utilizing art materials. Participants must be age fifteen or older to attend.

 

The group lasts 12 weeks and is billable to insurance or Medicaid. Sliding scale fees are available for anyone who is uninsured. Children with limited English proficiency are welcomed through the art-based curriculum. Classes meet on Mondays based upon enrollment. Classes meet at 1512 Willow Lawn Drive in Richmond.

 

 

Women’s Support Group

This support group assists women recovering from trauma associated with domestic or sexual violence experienced as a child or as an adult. Participants must be eighteen or older to attend.

 

The group meets for 8 weeks and is billable to insurance or Medicaid. Sliding scale fees are available for anyone who is uninsured. Classes meet on Wednesdays from 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at Capital Area Partnership Uplifiting People in Richmond, 1021 Oliver Hill Way.
